Dating to around 1900, this three-seat Javanese settee is crafted from solid teak wood and reflects the region’s artisanal heritage. The frame offers clean lines and a warm, natural finish, complemented by handwoven rattan panels on both the seat and backrest. This combination of materials creates a subtle contrast in texture, while maintaining a cohesive, organic aesthetic.
The arms are gently scrolled and sculpted with care, adding visual softness and a nod to period design. Turned baluster legs at the front offer structural support with a refined presence, grounding the piece in traditional craftsmanship.
