This vintage rustic table base combines the raw strength of weathered wood and forged iron to create a bold and sculptural foundation for a custom tabletop. Four solid timber posts, each showing a textured, timeworn surface, are joined by heavy iron stretchers and iron brackets that rise above the posts in graphic, angular forms. The result is a structure that feels both primitive and architectural, with an industrial edge.
Currently offered without a top, the base invites customization. It can be fitted with a rectangular slab of glass, wood, or stone, allowing the buyer to tailor its function as a dining table, large desk, or conference table. The scale is generous, able to support a substantial top, with proportions lending themselves well to modern interiors, loft spaces, or rustic country houses seeking a dramatic centerpiece.
The contrast of the darkened iron with the organic, aged grain of the wood underscores the handmade quality of the piece. Strong, raw, and versatile, this table base is as much a piece of functional furniture as it is a design statement, bringing character and presence to any setting.
