This mid-20th century grain basket was made in India with hand-hammered copper. The basket adopts an hourglass shape flanked with two handles on its top. The whole surface is skillfully hand-hammered to create a textured pattern on the copper, an effect beautifully highlighted by the patina. The piece rests on a lightly curved bottom. This copper basket is a great example of the Indian craftsmen mastery.
