Made in China circa 1950, this substantial ceramic planter pairs a rounded, gently tapering body with a pronounced rolled rim. Its saturated apple-green glaze gives the simple form a strong, luminous presence.
Subtle shifts from lighter to deeper green reflect the character of the firing, while the glazed interior supports use as a cachepot or decorative jardinière. Its generous scale works especially well on the floor among natural woods and neutral finishes.
