Description

A vintage Anglo-Indian sheesham wood wardrobe cabinet from the first half of the 20th century, with birds flanking a tree, ebonized accents and bone inlay. Born in India during the 1940s, this two-section cabinet is adorned with an abundant décor of foliage and scrollwork’s, birds and trees, made of delicate bone inlay standing out beautifully on the warm hue of the sheesham wood, the Indian rosewood. Leaving no space empty if it weren't for the back, the cabinet is accented with petite ebonized motifs that give additional life and depth to the ensemble.

A molded cornice overhangs the two doors that make up the upper cabinet and open to reveal an inner shelf with two hidden drawers. The lower cabinet echoes the same décor and showcases two larger doors opening to two inner shelves. With its great proportions and exquisite inlaid bone décor, this Anglo-Indian wardrobe cabinet circa 1940 will be an undeniable focal point in any home, particularly placed in a bedroom or living room.
