This pair of antique Japanese woodblock prints depicts traditionally dressed figures beside vertical calligraphic inscriptions. One composition shows a seated woman in lavender and green robes holding a lotus flower; the other presents a standing bearded man in pale blue, white and red garments. Delicate linework and muted color enliven the naturally aged paper.

Each print is displayed beneath glass with a powder-blue mat and a slender silvered faux-bamboo frame. Together, the coordinated works bring a refined East Asian presence to a study, bedroom or collected gallery wall.
