This substantial Marge Carson console table showcases the dramatic curves and elegant proportions that helped establish the American luxury furniture maker's distinctive aesthetic. Crafted in walnut with a rich, warm finish, the table features a serpentine silhouette enhanced by a molded top, shaped apron, and boldly carved cabriole legs terminating in stylized scroll feet.
The undulating front is punctuated by two drawers concealed within the apron, providing discreet storage while maintaining the table's sculptural appearance. Viewed from any angle, the piece displays a strong architectural presence, with the flowing lines of the casework echoed by the graceful movement of the legs. The top is decorated with recessed panel detailing that adds visual interest without distracting from the overall form.
With its long, narrow proportions and 27.5-inch apron height, the table is well suited for use as an entry console, sofa table, or statement piece along a living room or dining room wall. The combination of practical storage and sophisticated craftsmanship reflects Marge Carson's reputation for producing furniture that bridges traditional European influences with American luxury design.
A striking and highly decorative piece that brings warmth, movement, and character to both classic and transitional interiors.
