An antique Thai large cobalt blue glazed Martaban jar from the 19th century, with petite swan neck loops, raised birds and tiger motifs and tapering lines. Created in Thailand during the 19th century, this large Martaban vase attracts our attention with its cobalt blue color glaze and delicate design. The jar features a circular top measuring 8 inches of diameter, surrounded by a thin flaring lip. The jar is adorned at the base of its neck with a series of petite swan neck shaped loop handles through which a rope would have been passed to secure a top meant to protect what was stored inside.
