A Japanese Taisho period coffee table from the early 20th century, with red lacquer, textured effects, splaying legs and carved apron. Created in Japan during the Taisho period which ran from 1912 to 1926, this small coffee table features a rectangular top with textured effects and rounded corners, sitting above a carved apron. The table is raised on four short splaying legs whose out-curving lines respond and contrast with the apron's design beautifully. It showcases a red lacquer complimenting the simple yet elegant lines.
