Description

A Japanese Meiji period hibachi planter from the 19th century, with floral motifs and burnt orange patina. Created in Japan during the Meiji period, this hibachi was used for cooking or warming sake or tea.

Presenting a cylindrical silhouette accented with a frieze of foliage and fruits in its upper section and a lovely white flower standing out beautifully on reeded style motifs on the belly, this Japanese 19th century hibachi will make for an excellent planter, indoors or outdoors.
