An Indonesian 19th century merchant's blanket chest on wheels from Madura, with hand-painted and carved front showcasing tribal designs. Created in Madura off of the northeastern coast of Java during the 19th century, this beautiful piece from our chests collection stands out with its polychrome façade made of an abundance of pink, blue, green and yellow motifs standing out on the chest's brown dovetailed structure.
