Six-Panel Lacquered Screen with Red-Crowned Cranes in Flight. Rendered in a richly layered palette of warm ochre, black, and soft metallic tones, this vintage six-panel screen presents a striking tableau of red-crowned cranes in flight. The design is etched and painted across a subtly gridded background, creating a dynamic sense of motion and depth as the birds overlap and intertwine in a complex yet harmonious composition. The cranes are meticulously stylized, with overlapping feathers and elongated necks outlined in deep black, each bird rendered with rhythmic linework that emphasizes their elegance and grace.
