An antique Chinese Qing Dynasty period elm Shanxi Province coffee table from the 19th century, with woven rattan top and curving legs. Created in the North-Eastern province of Shanxi during the Qing dynasty (spanning from 1644 to 1912), this 19th century elm wood coffee table features a rectangular top with woven rattan inset in its center, sitting above a simple recessed apron. The table is raised on four curving legs with scrolling feet.
The sides and back showcase the same design. The table boasts a warm brown patina complimenting the lines beautifully. The overall condition is very good, both on the elm wood and woven rattan top. With its elegant lines, lovely proportions and understated elegance, this 19th century Chinese Qing Dynasty period elm coffee table from the Province of Shanxi will make for a great addition to any home, particularly placed in a living room or under a covered patio.
