Description

A Chinese Qing Dynasty period late 19th century wooden apothecary cabinet made in two parts of nam wood (a variety of cedar) with shelves and multiple drawers. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period, this cabinet features 35 drawers that were probably made to store herbs and medicines. The upper section, showcasing open shelves, is adorned with a darker color, creating a perfect setting to receive various decorative objects.

Each drawer is adorned with a slightly raised panel fitted with a brass pull in its center. The cabinet is in two parts, the top with the shelves and ten drawers, and the bottom with 25 additional drawers. With its clean lines and warm patina, this Chinese Qing Dynasty wooden apothecary cabinet circa 1890 will make for a great addition to any home, placed in a kitchen, living room or study.
