This tall late-20th-century artisan ceramic vase rises from a slender ribbed body to a narrow neck. A layered green glaze accentuates the horizontal texture and hand-crafted surface variation.
The vase is finished in a rich olive-green glaze with slight tonal variation that enhances the relief of the ribbed surface. The glaze pools delicately within the grooves, creating a soft depth of color ranging from moss green to muted celadon tones. These variations lend the piece a handcrafted character and emphasize its studio pottery aesthetic.
With its refined proportions and sculptural presence, the vase functions beautifully as a standalone decorative object while also accommodating minimal arrangements. The narrow mouth opening measuring approximately 1 inch in diameter is particularly suited for a single stem, branch, or delicate floral display, allowing the elegant form of the vessel to remain the primary focus.
Standing over two feet tall, the piece has strong vertical presence and works well on a console, pedestal, or large tabletop where its height and texture can be appreciated. Its restrained palette and organic surface detail allow it to complement both contemporary interiors and more traditional decorative settings.
