An antique Thai water jar from the 19th century, with monochrome glazed finish and petite loop handles. Created in Thailand during the 19th century, this water jar features a circular mouth with large lip, showcasing a 5.5 inches diameter opening. The body presents tapering lines and a series of petite loop handles at the base of the neck, through which a rope would have been passed to secure a top. The ensemble is covered with a brown glaze with yellow / green undertones at the top.
The lower section is unglazed. Boasting a nice patina with expected chips to be found, this antique Thai water jar from the 19th century will make for a lovely decorative addition to any home, used to display flowers or branches, in a living room, foyer or kitchen!
