An antique 19th century Ningbo two-door and three drawers elm and cypress cabinet. This antique Chinese cabinet was made with elm and cypress wood during the 19th century in Ningbo, a Northeastern city of China. Two distinct wood tints soften the linear shape of this cabinet. Each door and drawer is decorated with cypress panels, nicely warming up the elm hue. Thanks to a traditional Chinese iron lock, the doors open on three shelves and two hidden drawers.
The ensemble is raised on four tall straight legs. With its clean lines, its interesting play between the two wood finishes and its great proportions, this Ningbo Chinese 19th Century elm and cypress wood cabinet would be an elegant storage unit in most homes, perhaps in a living room or bedroom.
