A Japanese porcelain plate from the 19th century, with hand-painted blue and white tree, rock and bird décor. Created in Japan during the 19th century, this porcelain plate features a delicate blue and white décor depicting an artistic, balanced landscape arrangement: occupying the left side of the composition, a blooming tree that has grown in front of a rocky formation is firmly planting its roots in the ground. The right side is adorned with a majestic bird extending its wings. Its plumage is nicely detailed and completes the scene beautifully.
The back is decorated with various motifs and calligraphy in the center. Bordered by a scalloped edge alternating light blue floral motifs and foliage in dark blue cartouches, this Japanese hand-painted porcelain plate from the 19th century will make for a lovely addition to any home décor, perhaps placed on a commode, side table or console! The stand used to photograph the plate is not included.
