19th Century Brown Cabinet with Unexpected Internal Drawers and Shelving
Qing Dynasty compound cabinet from the 19th century with two unexpected internal drawers and ample shelving at the top, midsection and bottom space. This stunning brown lacquered compound cabinet features a small cabinet chest stacked on top of a larger cabinet and is raised on straight feet connected by an apron on three sides. Compound cabinets were typically used for storage: the top containing out of season clothing while the main cabinet was utilized as an everyday wardrobe.
