A vintage Chinese blanket chest from the Mid-20th Century with red lacquered leather, brass hardware and blue fabric lining on the inside. Created in China during the midcentury period, this red lacquered leather trunk features a rectangular lid with stitched accents on the edge, opening thanks to a traditional brass lock with scalloped accents, to reveal a fabric lined interior. The used fabric, in fair condition, is blue with a red calligraphic label. The sides present lateral C-scroll handles on delicate floral backplate, allowing the piece to be moved more easily.
With its vibrant color and nice proportions, this Chinese red lacquered blanket chest from the mid 20th century will make for a lovely decorative addition to any home, particularly placed in a bedroom or living room.
