Outlaw, a cast bronze sculpture after American artist Frederic Remington's 1906 original, on marble base. Filled with a tremendous dramatic tension, this bronze sculpture found in our antique collection depicts a scene from the American Old West particularly dear to Frederic Remington. A cowboy is focusing all his energy to stay aboard a rearing, plunging horse, his feet firmly secured in the stirrups, his left hand holding the reins.
The Outlaw’s title refers to the horse rather than the rider because of its disobedience, trying to buck off the rider. One of Remington's later pieces, Outlaw was considered the real companion to The Broncho Buster.
This reproduction mounted on a marble base measuring 16.5" W x 11" D, will make for a great décor to any table top!
