Chinese Qing Dynasty 19th Century Cabinet with Original Black Lacquer Finish
A Chinese Qing Dynasty period cabinet from the 19th century, with original black lacquer and faint Chinoiserie décor. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this wooden cabinet features a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by its original black lacquer finish. The façade showcases a faint hand-painted Chinoiserie décor adorning the doors while the lower section presents scrolling floral motifs and a meander frieze. The doors open thanks to a brass lock to reveal inner shelves and a lower compartment concealed under a removable panel. The bottom part is made of two drawers fitted with ring pulls on circular plates. The sides and back are made of simply recessed panels.
