Nymph, Tritons and Putti Bronze Fountain
A vintage tall lost wax cast bronze Greco-Roman style fountain from the mid 20th century, depicting a nymph with cornucopia, tritons and cherubs. Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire perdue) that allows a great precision and finesse in the details, this bronze fountain captures our attention with its great proportions and ornate conception.
Tall and slim, it is topped with the depiction of a nymph raising a cornucopia in her right hand, a symbol of abundance. The bowl on which she stands is slightly not level and is supported by three young tritons resting on another bowl, this one flanked with rams' heads. The lower section completes the ensemble beautifully with the putti holding fish and bouquets of flowers, their feet leading our eyes to striking dolphins. With its skillful depiction and dark patina, this Greco Roman style fountain will be an excellent addition to any garden!
