A Chinese late Qing Dynasty period elm wood side table from the early 20th century with woven rattan top, waisted apron and low-relief carved frieze. Created in China during the later years of the Qing Dynasty period in the early 20th century, this side table features a rectangular with woven rattan inset top surrounded by a wooden frame. The waisted apron is carved in low-relief with a frieze depicting scrolling foliage showcasing slight traces of a red color.This carved décor is present on all of the four sides, the table will therefore be able to float in a room and be seen from all angles. The ensemble is raised on four straight legs with horse hoof extremities, connected to one another through plain side stretchers.
