This 19th-century Annamese planter from Vietnam offers a rich blend of visual texture and cultural artistry. Finished in layered green and blue hues, the surface reveals a distressed patina that speaks to its age and long-standing use. Scrolling cloud motifs encircle the body in a rhythmic frieze, adding movement and balance to the form. Delicate calligraphy, framed within medallions, introduces narrative and symbolic depth, connecting the piece to Vietnamese heritage and decorative tradition.
