Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire perdue) that allows a great precision and finesse of the details, this bronze statue, showcasing a verde patina, features the Greco-Roman goddess Diana. Also known as Artemis in Greek mythology, Diana is the twin sister of Apollo, the god of music and the sun.
Famous for her preference of dwelling on high mountains and for being the protector of animals, she is traditionally represented holding her bow, symbolizing the hunt. She is walking, her head slightly turned sideways as her attention is attracted to a scene invisible to us.
