Created in Burma during the 19th century, this temple offering bowl is adorned with Palembang lacquer. Showcasing a (slightly crooked) spindle top, the bowl is adorned with delicate raised motifs and is resting on a circular base. Such offering bowls were traditionally used by monks to gather food to take back to their monastery as offering.
