A Chinese Qing Dynasty carved wooden jewelry chest from the 19th century, with lidded top, drawers and scrolling foliage. Crafted in China during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), this jewelry box features a rectangular double hinged lid that opens to reveal a small storage space.
Three drawers below (two small ones over a larger one) are carved, with the rest of the façade and side panels, with scrolling foliage, while the chest presents lateral C-scroll handles allowing the piece to be moved more easily. Charming us with its carved decor and weathered patina, this Chinese Qing chest will make for a great addition to any dressing table or commode, used to store jewelry or cosmetics.
