This 19th century Chinese small console or wine table was made with elmwood during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The table adopts a refined shape made with light brown lacquered wood. The four cylindrical legs are surmounted by a top displaying a rounded rim. Four stretchers link the legs with simple geometrical shapes hinting of Chinese traditional patterns.
This small console is typical of the combination of tradition and modernity often found during the Chinese Qing dynasty. This 19th century elmwood wine table from China would be perfect as a side table, perhaps in a living room next to a settee or a pair of chairs. 2 are available. May be purchased separately.
