A Gansu painted sideboard with three-drawers over two doors delicately adorned with flowers from the early 20th century. This gorgeous sideboard adorned with flowers was made in Gansu, a north central province of China, in the early 20th century. A warm hue varnish covers the wood, and the three-drawers display delicate flowers on a bright red background. The doors are adorned with lovely peonies, showcasing great shading on their petals, making them look like an enjoyable painting in a polka-dot frame.
The scalloped skirt is nicely carved in a characteristic Chinese style on the front. The double doors open up to reveal two shelves, which contributes to making this sideboard a perfect storage unit, perhaps in a dining room, bedroom or hallway.
