This Chinese, 19th century, narrow console table was made with natural elm, beautifully carved in the centre of the apron. This long console table features a refined shape with two end drawers adorned with pulls. Between the drawers, the central section is carved with an exquisite openwork foliage panel, motifs echoed in low-relief on the sides.
This long console table was probably used as an altar table, especially dedicated to the cult of the ancestors. Nowadays, this Chinese 19th century natural elm antique console with carved patterns would look wonderful in any home, particularly in a living room with your choice of decorative items atop.
