This Chinese 19th century hand-carved cabinet with dark brown lacquer features two doors and an extraordinary lattice work on the sides. The lacquered wood gives a gorgeous luminosity. The cabinet opens thanks to two pierced doors with two inner shelves, sitting above a single drawer, all opening with brass ring pulls. The sides of this cabinet are latticed in a beautiful Chinese geometrical pattern of rectangles and squares.
The top is made of three simple planks framed with additional boards and features four prismatic finials topping the side posts rising from the block feet. This lacquered Chinese cabinet from the 19th century would make a splendid bedside table or could work equally as well as a coffee or side table in a living room.
