A 19th century Indonesian wooden treasure chest with carved fan motifs, dovetailed construction and lateral handles. Found in Sumatra, this wooden treasure chest features a rectangular lid with beveled edges, opening to reveal a storage space with smaller box compartment on the left.
The facade is adorned, on all sides, with a horizontal cartouche accented with carved fan motifs in the corners. With its nice proportions and brown patina, this 19th century Indonesian piece will make for an excellent blanket chest!
