A 19th century Chinese tiered lunch basket made with two-colored bamboo and wood, and adorned with half-moon patterns. This basket features a stepped body, topped with a lid and a large rectangular handle. This basket was made with red varnished bamboo and contrasting black painted wood. The lid is carved with half-moon patterns and the top is painted in black.
