19th Century Traveler's Chest with Removable Door and Interior Drawers
Antique Qing Dynasty elmwood traveler's chest from the late 19th century with removable front panel, carrying handle and interior drawers. Featured in our trunks and chests collection, this elmwood chest features a square body with a handle that goes down the sides of the chest making the piece easily transportable. Brass braces secure the body while the façade showcases a single door that is removable and reveals a shelf with two small drawers above.
The door panel has a medallion in the center where a key fits perfectly while the entire ensemble rests on a thin plinth. While once a traveler's chest, this antique 19th century mini cabinet chest can be used to store personal belongings in the bedroom or office, small toiletries in the bathroom or bedroom or even seasonings and recipes in the kitchen.
