A contemporary lost wax cast bronze sculpted group depicting two parrots on a tree with hand-applied bronze and black patina. Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire perdue) which allows for great precision and finesse in the details, this sculpture features two birds from the parrot family, perched in a tree. They both have their crest raised in a sort of inquisitive manner as they are looking in the same general direction at a scene invisible to us.
The one perched on the lower branch is calmer in his attitude while the higher one is already extending his wings, ready to take off. His dark plumage is accented by a hand-applied bronze patina on one side of his wings. The finesse in the details in visible in the plumage as well as their eyes. A great decorative addition to any home, garden or park!
