Description

A pair of antique Chinese elmwood scholar's ceremonial chairs from the early 20th century, with dark patina and sinuous back splats. We have several chairs available with slight variations. Contact us for more info. Born in China during the early years of the 20th century, each of this pair of scholar's side chairs features a pierced back with sinuous splat, resting on a rectangular wooden seat with central board. Each chair is raised on four straight legs with humpbacked apron in the front and side stretchers.

 

With their elegant lines and dark patina, these Chinese elm scholar's ceremonial chairs will be great additions to any office, bedroom or living room.
