A mid-19th century rustic wooden cabinet with five hand carved doors made in India. This tall cabinet adopts an overall rectangular shape while its front façade is decorated with numerous rectangular details. The cabinet features one upper and one lower sets of doors which open from the center via simple locksets. Between the upper and lower doors sits a single hidden door revealing a smaller storage space. The cabinet rests on four legs while the cornice brings the piece to completion. The back is reinforced by two stretchers.
This mid 18th century Indian wood cabinet with hand carved doors would be an exotic storage unit thanks to its rustic appeal, perhaps in a den to store books or documents.
