An antique Chinese long elmwood footrest from the late 19th century, with black and red accents and weathered patina. Born in China during the third quarter of the 19th century, this long footrest charms us with its nicely contrasting colors and nicely aged appearance. Presenting a rectangular black top with central board, the piece is accented with a red scalloped apron on three sides. The footrest is raised on eight short, in-curving feet, four of which are connected two by two through a stretcher in the center.
Ideal to support planters or be placed along a farm table to rest the feet, this Chinese elmwood footrest circa 1870 will bring a touch of authenticity to any home.
