Description

A Chinese rice carrying shoulder wooden yoke pole from the early 20th century, with hand-woven rattan baskets and bamboo accents. Charming us with its history and nicely weathered appearance, this Chinese early 20th century shoulder yoke features a central wooden pole connected to a hand-woven rattan basket on each side resting on a square-shaped bamboo plinth.


This yoke would have been used to transport the rice that had been harvested.
